How to: Promote your WordPress blog

Sadly, having great content doesn’t mean that you’re going to get big traffic on your blog. Sure, there’s sites as such as delicious, StumbleUpon or digg but reaching their homepage isn’t that easy. Here’s an easier and more relevant way to promote your WordPress blog.

Some of you may remeber that last year, I created a website called WpVote. It was another "Digg-like" site, but dedicated to everything WordPress.
Sadly, the Pligg cms wan't that great and the site quickly became a total spam farm. Users left and I had to admit that this project, even if it was a good idea, was a failure.

Though, I'm not the kind of guy to give up easily. Over the last weeks, I decided to re-create the site, this time using only WordPress. Which means that I just created a "Digg-like" site within WordPress. I don't think this was done before.

So, if you want to promote your blog posts (about WordPress only), don't hesitate to join us and submit your posts!

Sounds great. Digg is just too damn big. If you were to read just the articles hitting the frontpage you’d have to spend at least 3-4 hours a day doing just that. I’m glad you did something like that for WP – it has a lot of potential.

It’s go to see that you have decided to revamp it. It’s very hard to make popular digg/pligg like sites. I will join for sure, and try it…
